SAM XL at ERF 2025
SAM XL is at the European Robotics Forum! We are proud to showcase our Mobile Inspection System for Large Structures.
Inspection is an important part of the lifecycle of aerospace parts, required during manufacturing and later during repair and maintenance. The first step is a visual inspection to look for damage, followed by a detailed second inspection if necessary. This can be either a surface inspection or a sub-surface inspection, depending on the part.
SAM XL’s mobile inspection system offers an A.I.-powered visual inspection step, along with a secondary detailed inspection step. The system is developed as a testbed for the CORESENSE project, providing a platform for adapting the algorithms developed in the project – that can be tailored to your technology.
We are continuously improving the localisation of the robot system to make it more adaptive, enabling it to navigate a busy shop floor and work alongside people.
