A delegation of 40 senior French business executives visited SAM XL as part of the 2025 annual session of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de lÉntreprise (IHEE). While exploring Dutch models for public-private innovation, our visitors obtained insight, into how the Netherlands – in particular the TU Delft and its partners – combine research, industry collaboration and cutting-edge technology to encounter today’s industrial and societal challenges.
IHEE classifies SAM XL, as the exemplary location for many of the key themes of this study trip:
- Applied large-scale robotics automation in aerospace, maritime, and renewable energy
- Bridging academic research and industrial needs through co-development and pilot projects
- Integration of sustainability, and digital transformation in advanced manufacturing
- Strategic workforce development for industry 4.0
