Take a look at our first continuous ultrasonic welding using our new robotic setup and in-house developed end effector. And the weld looks great! This is the first of many welds to be made with this setup. We will continue to improve the end effector and the welding process. This first step is already quite an achievement in itself.
Our continuous ultrasonic welding process enables rapid joining of thermoplastic composites, resulting in short cycle times and reduced assembly costs. Thermoplastic compounds can be easily recycled, eliminating the need for foreign bodies to generate heat at the weld joint, a major sustainability benefit.
