The collaboration between the German state of Bremen and our Province of South Holland was recently strengthened during a visit by a delegation to, among others, Delft University of Technology and SAM XL. The aim of their visit: to strengthen the ties in space innovation and beyond.

From Delft University of Technology and SAM XL to CometLab and European Space Agency – ESA Technology at NL Space Campus, the visit reaffirmed our shared ambition to deepen collaboration and shape the next chapter together.

We had the pleasure of welcoming a large delegation from the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen including Bundesrat President Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte, Regional Minister Kristina Vogt, and a delegation of leading Bremen space companies.

Collaboration since 2019

Already since 2019, SpaceNed and AVIASPACE Bremen e.V. together with the Provincie Zuid-Holland and Freie Hansestadt Bremen are actively supporting a cooperation agreement and the implementation of an action agenda on various topics. The visit this week was a perfect opportunity to reflect on that cooperation and look towards the future together.

The NL tour started with an inspiring visit to TU Delft | Aerospace Engineering and SAM XL. After this, the delegation had an engaging session with the regional ministers of both regions as well as AviaSpace and SpaceNed to reaffirm the mutual interest in updating the action agenda for the next years. The next day the group visited the NL Space Campus in Noordwijk, starting at the Comet Lab, where regional players in the ecosystem shared success stories of the past and pitched ideas for future cooperation. The visit ended with an onsite visit to Estec, the technical heart of ESA, in Noordwijk.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the parties involved in organizing this great event, and of course to our Bremen friends. We hope to see you again soon and are definitely looking forward to continue the cooperation in the coming years.
