Systems Engineering Expert Workshop
Full house on Systems Engineering!
Almost 60 systems architects, engineers, researchers, teachers, students and tool vendors gathered at the TU Delft Systems Engineering Platform Expert Workshop, hosted by SAM XL.
They explored how the Dutch high-tech industry can grow the systems workforce it needs for the future. The main takeaway? Start young, build system competencies early, and keep developing them through lifelong education in partnership with industry.
These insights were shared with executives, policymakers and international leaders from industry, academia and government during the subsequent Delft Systems Workforce Summit. Carlos Hernandez presented the workshop results during the closing session chaired by our Rector Magnificus, Hester Bijl. The conclusions were received with keen interest and fed into the discussion of the Summit resolution.
The challenges ahead are significant, but so is the opportunity. As a systems community, we are well positioned to help shape the solutions. We have clear work ahead in the coming period to address the Delft Summit declaration. Join us in this development!
